This cabin has been designed, developed and constructed in consideration of ergonomics and requirements for airport rescue and firefighting vehicles. Excellent panoramic view, the highest standards for passenger safety, confirmed by crash tests in accordance with ECE R29-3 and the user-guided operating concept Z-Control of the newest generation characterize this cabin.
Supported by ergonomic studies and simulations, the new cockpit provides perfect accessibility, visibility and position of all controls. The control elements are arranged according to their purpose and function: driving mode, extinguishing mode, secondary functions.
Occupant protection is our main focus. Accordingly, the Z-Cab AiR was developed and built according to the latest insights and state-of-the-art methods. At no time during the ECE R29-3 crash test occupants were at risk through deformation – survival space is guaranteed at all time. This test also confirmed the calculated rigidity of the cabin in the physical test and exceeded the requirements of ECE regulations.
Mirror replacement system
With the Z4, we offer the opportunity to design the vehicle more individually for airport fire departments. As a supplementary vehicle or stand-alone unit, the Z4 convinces with its compact design and its enormous extinguishing power. Additionally, the Z4 also has excellent appropriate driving characteristics.
